25 Things About Me

1. When I was about 3 or so, I was jumping on my parent’s bed and fell off. I hit the corner of my eye on an open drawer and got 3 stitches. Those are the only stitches I have ever gotten.
2. I have never broken anything except my big toe, and there isn’t anything you can do about that.
3. My first plane ride was when I was 9, when my Mom and I went to Disneyland for their 30th Anniversary (and she and I went back for the 50th).
4. As a kid, I loved playing with matchbook cars and racetracks as much as I did Barbie Dolls and Cabbage Patch kids.
5. I went to a Private School (Peter Pan Academy) for Pre-school, Pre-K, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades.
6. I have been to Maui 13 times (I think) and could show you around if you wanted to go ;-)
7. I had about 5 pet rats over the course of childhood through college.
8. I love museums and art galleries. The British Museum and the National Gallery of Art in London are my 2 favorites.
9. I went zip-lining on Maui a few years back, and now want to do it everywhere.
10. I want to see the Pyramids (and other things) in Egypt, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Acropolis in Greece, Petra in Jordan, Pompeii in Italy and the villages and coastline in Ireland more than anything.
11. I smoked for 13 or so years. But I quit on Aug 27, 2006 and haven’t had one since.
12. I can’t pick one genre of music as my favorite. If I love it, I love it. And although I’m a rocker at heart, a hot cowboy on a ranch would do just fine ;-)
13. I’m not really a big dessert person, and pass over it 95% of the time it’s offered. Maybe I have a tiny slice of pie on Thanksgiving or a piece of cake (sans frosting) at a birthday party. Or a random piece of candy, popsicle or ice cream here or there when I crave it.
14. I can’t stand whipped cream, marshmallows, olives (I tolerate black ones on pizza) and raisins.
15. I am AWFUL at saving money. I need to work on that.

17. I’m a reality show junkie.
18. I am fascinated with WWII and the Holocaust.
19. I can’t wait for our get together the weekend of 3/21 - 3/22. 25 of us going to a Sharks game? How crazy is that?
20. I have been a bridesmaid in 4 weddings. 3 of them were the same year within 3 months of each other, and one of those 3 was on Oahu. And 2 of the 4 friends were marrying cops.
21. I’m a pretty mellow, go with the flow sort of person. Which translates to shy, until I get to know you. But I’m getting better about that.
22. Growing up, my dream was to be an Archaeologist, Interior Designer or Event Coordinator. I guess I never had the drive or love of school to follow through. Darn it. And when I was accepted to college, it was as an Aeronautical Engineer. I wanted to design airplanes. How random is that? School is not my cup of tea though.
23. During high school I really enjoyed doing ceramics by hand (not wheel) and I would love to get back into it.
24. I absolutely love taking photos, primarily of nature.
25. I was in the room when my godson was born. Absolutely amazing moment.
